Q. What Is HouseWatch?
A. HouseWatch is a comprehensive security
service that provides our clients with the peace of mind in knowing
that a trained, State Licensed, professional person will be available
24 hours a day to check on their home and, to respond to any threat
to the safety and security of their home. For permanent residents
of Connecticut, a Metroguard Licensed Security Officer will patrol
the exterior of their home anytime they're away and present a visible
deterrent to vandal, criminal or trespass activity. If a client`s
home Security Alarm System should activate, for any reason, we'll
also respond quickly. As your authorized Key-Holder our Officers
are able to investigate the real cause for the alarm and take reasonable
and prudent action(s) to resolve any problems.
Housewatch subscribers may request additional service such as periodic
interior inspections, plant watering, mail pick up, car starting,
pet care or any other special service.
Q. Why do I need Housewatch
Service?
A. For two reasons. - First, it's a
serious imposition and a potential liability to ask a friend or
neighbor to watch your house while you are away. If that person
chose to investigate a questionable or hazardous situation on your
property and in so doing, were to become injured, you could be held
financially responsible. And second, your local Police respond to
a substantial number of false alarms each year. As a result, alarm
response is not one of their highest priorities. When they do respond,
they are capable of only inspecting the building exterior. They
cannot know if someone is hiding inside the building or if the heating
system has failed, or if a pipe has burst, or if any similar catastrophic
event is occurring within the building.
As a Key-Holder to the premise, the Metroguard Security Officer
can enter the building, investigate the cause of the alarm, correct
the problem (and prevent repeat false alarms) and assure the security
of the premise. He shall request direction from the home owner for
any problems which he cannot reasonably resolve himself.
Q. How Much Does It Cost
?
A. Less than a dollar a day..
