Troy Haynie is a retired teacher, coach, and school administrator. He is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician and has been active in EMS administration and crisis management for 25 years. Troy has attended many mass-casualty and gathering events including the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He holds several FEMA sponsored National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certifications in scene management, along with active shooter and hazardous material training.
With this background, his school asked him to be its Director of Safety & Security. He held this position for six-years prior to his retirement. While in this position, he was responsible for all of his school’s security and risk management. He re-drafted his school’s Crisis Management Plan and conducted all of the training, communication, and ongoing correspondence. Troy served as a partner in a mutli-disciplinary consulting firm that performed safety and security audits at schools around the country. He also took part in peer audits with the other schools and organizations in his area.
Troy envisions growing the Metroguard Risk Management division into a well-respected and trusted resource to companies, religious organizations, and schools across the country. He has vetted a staff of professionals with backgrounds in Education, Law Enforcement, Crisis Management, and Firefighting to assist with any client requests or needs. His focus is to empower his clients so that they are better prepared in a crisis situation.
